The basic idea comes from a design style inspired by Picasso. Bright areas of color, thick winding lines, and distortions in precise aesthetic balance so it’s just not over the top.

The visual playfulness has therefore also something Afro-like, which is reinforced by the painting on wooden boards.

The plexiglass frame forms the imaginary window from which figures observe what is happening outside. Sometimes in contemplation, sometimes reacting to what is happening before their eyes. But somewhere they are held back, as if by a transparent layer through which they remain inaudible, distant and thus part of a greyer background.
Could it be the visual symbolization of a world that we experience from TV, without the capacity to intervene ? And do we still want to become more than passive spectators ?
